Our stories, our lives

Fiona Gwozdz Mancill - Our founder

Born in Dublin, Ireland and raised near Portland, Oregon, founder Fiona Gwozdz Mancill has always considered herself a global citizen. That lens helps ground her in her purpose – to create a more sustainable future for the world through creative community building and thoughtful communication strategies.

With a B.A. in Planning, Public Policy and Management from the University of Oregon’s Clark Honors College, Fiona returned to Ireland and earned her stripes on the frontlines of several different Irish non-profits.

During this time it became evident to Fiona that to get anything done with long-term, sustainable impact, it would take meaningful cross-sector collaboration and shared goal setting – two things that require consistent, clear and creative communication strategies.

After returning to Oregon from Ireland to be closer to her immediate family, Fiona revisited her public sector roots. She even earned the nickname “Fiona Knope” working for the local parks district on community engagement and marketing projects. After several years she was poached from the public sector to work on the agency side of the communication world.

At Fish Marketing and then Veritas Collaborations, Fiona took on public affairs and non-profit clients and built robust communication plans and integrated campaigns to support economic development. She then joined Edelman’s Business and Social Purpose team to serve Fortune 500 clients like Nike and PayPal, and PNW brands such as Les Schwab and New Seasons, on sustainability and diversity and inclusion projects, as well as with traditional PR and communication support.

Prior to launching Mnácill Enterprises, Fiona served as PR Director for B Corp, Oliver Russell, a Boise-based, integrated marketing firm focused on amplifying purpose narratives for clients like the Smithsonian, HP Sustainability, the National Recreation and Parks Association, and VTech, among others.

She now continues to leverage her experience to serve clients who are working to make the world a better place, specifically on energy transition and social impact projects. From taglines to social media campaigns, thought leadership to social impact strategies, Fiona is an engaged and engaging client partner who can help you elevate your impact. Not only through your collaborative work together, but through her own give-back strategy, providing 3% of her revenues to causes that move the world forward in three dedicated, interconnected areas: Social Justice, Climate Justice, and Equality.

Fiona lives in McMinnville, Oregon with her husband, Duane, daughter, Florence, and three dogs, Chloe, Daphne and Zip.
